Gambel Oaks Equestrian Center focuses on the training of Arabian and Half-Arabian performance horses, and has done so for over fifteen years. Jim and Linda Hitt are the owners and trainers at GOEC. They are skilled trainers in all facets of the Arabian and Half-Arabian show ring: Western, English, Hunter, Reining, Trail, and Halter. In 2003, Linda received her National Reining Horse Association Judge's card. Jim has held his Arabian Judge's card since 1999 and has been actively contributing to the Arabian industry in that capacity. Jim is also a long-time Region 8 delegate, chaired the Region 8 Show Commission for many years, and is now the Region 8 Director.

Gambel Oaks is a beautiful and comfortable facility, especially for the Adult Amateur and Youth riders who play such a huge role in the success of the Equestrian Center. The grooms and assistant training staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and nurturing handlers for the horses in their care. The indoor facility is heated for comfort in the winter and is naturally comfortable in the summer, as it sits at an elevation of nearly 7000 feet. The barn has 36 indoor stalls, an 80'x160' indoor arena with a viewing and lounge area, a 120'x 250' outdoor arena with viewing area, two round pens, outdoor paddocks with shelters, and numerous turnouts.

Gambel Oaks Equestrian Center is located approximately 30 minutes southeast of Denver in the rolling hills and pine trees between Parker and Elizabeth, Colorado. The center is accessible from two airports: Denver International Airport is about 45 minutes to the north, while the Colorado Springs Airport is 60 minutes to the south.
